Every new school week is a new adventure! As we begin our week together, I want to remind you that being a student is about more than just coming to school. It is about being ready to learn, making good choices, helping others, and giving your best effort! It's going to be a great week!! 🐾

JLE Annual Hearing & Vision Health Screenings Important Information for Lintott Families

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Good vision and hearing are essential to your child's academic success and overall
development. To support student health and learning, our school health team will
be conducting annual vision and hearing screenings later this month.
Screening Schedule

Grade Level	Screening Date	Details
1st Grade	October 1st	Conducted during regular school hours
2nd Grade	October 2nd	Conducted during regular school hours
Kindergarten	October 8th	Conducted during regular school hours

Important Reminder: Prescription Eyewear
If your child wears prescription glasses or contact lenses, please ensure they bring
or wear them to school on their designated screening day. The screening measures
visual acuity with correction to verify that current prescriptions remain accurate.What to Expect
These screenings are routine, non-invasive procedures used to identify potential
vision or hearing concerns:

Passing Results: If no concerns are found, no further action is needed and
routine health monitoring will continue.

Follow-up Needed: If a potential issue is detected, you will receive a written
referral letter detailing the results along with recommendations for a
comprehensive follow-up exam with an eye care specialist or audiologist.
Opt-Out Instructions

These screenings are standard school health services. If you do not wish for your
child to participate in the hearing and vision screenings, please notify us prior to
the scheduled date.

To submit an opt-out request or ask any health-related questions, please reach out
