I had the chance to check out the Future Chef Competition at Orin Smith Elementary for the first time—and honestly, it was a blast. 👨‍🍳
Seven students from 3rd–5th grade earned their spot by submitting their own original recipes, and getting to see them bring those ideas to life was really impressive. The creativity, confidence, and effort these kids showed in the kitchen was something else.

Each student had an adult there to help guide them along the way, which made it feel really supportive and fun—not just competitive.
🏆 The winner of this event will move on for a shot at the national competition, so there was definitely some pressure—but also a lot of excitement.

I had a great time filming this and getting a behind-the-scenes look at everything. These kids can cook!
